A BALANCED DIET

 









You are what you eat. In this post, we're going to see how a balanced diet looks like, what it causes to our body, and what happens if we eat unhealthily.

As we can see, the food pyramid consists of 5 stages, containing carbohydrates from the very bottom, veggies, dairy, meat, and lastly sugar and fatty foods on the top. Each of the stages represents how much we should eat in one course. Let's take a better look at it.



Sweets, chocolates and cakes — Provide quick energy boost.

Meat, fish and alternatives — Provide protein for growth and development

Milk, cheese and yoghurt — Provide calcium for healthy bones and teeth
 
Fruit & vegetables — Provide vitamins and minerals, essential for good health
 
Bread, cereals and potatoes — Provide energy to help work and play.
